Sea freight FAQs

Which is better for my cargo, FCL or LCL?

It depends on volume: below roughly 13 m³, LCL groupage usually wins (you only pay for the space you use); above that, a full FCL container offers better unit cost, less handling and faster transit. We can prepare a real FCL vs LCL comparison with all costs included.

How long does a sea shipment from Barcelona take?

As a guide: Europe and North Africa, 5-15 days; the Americas, 15-25 days; Asia, 20-35 days; West Africa, 10-20 days. Exact transit depends on the destination port and vessel rotation.

Can you ship dangerous or refrigerated goods?

Yes. We handle dangerous goods (IMO/IMDG) with certified documentation and stowage, and temperature-controlled reefer containers for fresh or frozen products.

What documents do I need to export by sea?

The basics are the commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading and export declaration (SAD). Depending on the destination you may also need a certificate of origin or a Waiver Certificate (West Africa). We take care of all the paperwork.
